4. How are cookies and other similar tracking technologies used to collect information?
When you visit our website, we may use cookies or other similar tracking technologies (collectively referred to as "Cookies") to collect certain information about you. Cookies are small, simple text files stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit our platform. The term "Cookies" also includes local objects (sometimes called Flash Cookies), web beacons, pixels, browser fingerprinting technologies, or any technology that stores or accesses information on a user's device. To provide you with our services, we need to recognize your browser or device. For example, if you block or otherwise refuse our Cookies, you will not be able to add products to your shopping cart, proceed to checkout, or use any services that require you to log in. Please refer to the Cookie Statement for more details.
If you do not want Cookies to be stored on your computer, you can adjust your browser settings. You can also adjust your settings to refuse all Cookies or only accept third-party Cookies. You can delete Cookies that have already been placed. You need to adjust the settings for each browser and computer you use. How to adjust these settings varies by browser. Click on one of the icons below to directly view your browser manual, or if necessary, consult your browser's help function.
We use Google Analytics, an internet analytics service provided by Google, on our platform. For more information about Google's privacy practices, please visit: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en, https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245 . Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on provides visitors with the ability to prevent their data from being collected and used by Google Analytics, available at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptoutDo Not Track. Some Internet browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari, include the ability to transmit “Do Not Track” or “DNT” signals. Since uniform standards for “DNT" signals have not been adopted, our Site does not currently process or respond to “DNT” signals.
5. Does Milanoo share your personal information?
We sell merchandise, not information — we do not sell, rent, trade, or license your personal or financial information. We only disclose your personal or financial information in the following specific circumstances:
Third-party service providers: Like most online retailers, we sometimes use third-party service providers to perform specific functions on our behalf. Any information or data disclosed to them is done so to ensure the comprehensive execution of contracts. For example, delivery services require your basic information, such as your name, delivery address, and phone number, so that suppliers like DHL, USPS, UPS, or any other national postal service can fulfill customs clearance and delivery responsibilities. Additionally, to enhance your experience, we may use your information on a minimal scale to monitor the quality of third-party services. During the payment process, information required by payment businesses or financial services may be collected by Milanoo's affiliated companies. However, neither these affiliates nor Milanoo processes payment information we collect. For example, LABONITA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Milanoo.com Limited. The terms in this Privacy Policy also apply to LABONITA, which is responsible for handling payment-related issues for EU customers.
Non-personally identifiable information: We may share information that does not identify you or any user with third parties such as advertising partners, such as the number of daily visitors to specific pages or the size of orders on specific dates. For example, pseudonymization has been applied in the [*] column, showing our product images without disclosing your identity.
Mergers and/or asset sales: Under normal circumstances, we do not trade any personal information with other companies. However, for business development purposes, we may need to acquire, merge with, or be acquired or merged with another company, which inevitably involves the partial or complete transfer of customer information as a business asset, provided it is based on the effective privacy notice.
Protecting Milanoo and others: We may disclose accounts and other personal information to protect ourselves, our customers, or others, as required by law; to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Milanoo, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies, entities, institutions, organizations, or government agencies to prevent fraud and reduce credit risk. Additionally, Milanoo and our processors reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any behavior that we believe in good faith to be illegal.
We may describe these reasons to you from time to time based on legal requirements and other reasons for updating personal information and sharing purposes.
6. How does Milanoo protect personal information?
This service employs technical and organizational measures to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of your personal information.
We ensure the security of your personal information during transmission by using encryption protocols and software.
When handling credit card data, we adhere to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
In collecting, storing, and disclosing customer personal information, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards.
We assign different authorizations to different employees to allow access to or proximity to your personal data.
We only establish partnerships with suppliers who have appropriate protection measures in place to prevent data leaks.
You need to take protective measures against unauthorized access to your password, computer, device, and applications. We recommend using a unique password for your Milanoo account that is not used for other online accounts. Ensure that you log out after using a shared computer. You can log out of your Milanoo account by selecting "Log out."
7. What are the arrangements for advertising and promotions?
Third-party advertisers and other website links: Milanoo may include third-party advertisements and links to other websites and applications. Third-party advertising partners may collect information about you when you interact with their content, advertisements, and services. As mentioned earlier, these advertising and promotional activities are associated with websites that share personal information with third parties as mentioned in the examples.
Use of third-party advertising services: Third-party advertisers provide Milanoo advertisements to you based on the information we provide. To ensure your confidence, we share the minimal scope of personal information with them.
Personalized advertising services: Before distributing personalized advertisements, surveys, questionnaires, or promoting our products or goods to you, we will obtain your consent. You can choose to opt-out of advertisements by unsubscribing, contacting customer service, or replying to emails expressing your objection. Like other online advertising networks, we use cookies, web beacons (also known as behavior tags or single-pixel gifs), and other technologies that allow us to understand which advertisements you see on our website and other websites, which advertisements you click on, and other actions you take. This enables us to provide you with more useful and relevant advertisements. For example, we may use Google Analytics or other tracking/marketing applications or a combination of technologies to track your visit or purchase history, your location, etc.
Once you complete registration, it affects direct marketing to you by default. Then, if you do not wish to receive any promotional or advertising messages, you can change your email subscription settings.
8. What information can you access?
As a customer, you have the right to access your information. You can access most of your data online by logging into your Milanoo account and clicking on "My Account". For more detailed explanations, please visit our help page.
If you need further personal data, please contact privacy@milanoo.com.
9. What choices do you have regarding the collection of information?
Feel free to ask any questions about how we collect and process your personal information. You can contact customer service provided below or log in to "My Account" according to your preference.
As mentioned above, if you choose not to provide the necessary information required for the service, we will be unable to provide our services to you.
You have the right to correct your personal information through "My Account." After updating or correcting, we typically retain copies of your previous records.
You have the right to object to receiving any emails or communications from us through the "My Account" function when you no longer wish to receive them. This objection right also applies to applications on your portable devices, so you can adjust the settings on your portable device.
To block cookies on your computer, most browsers and devices' "Help" function will tell you how to prevent your browser or device from accepting new cookies, how to be notified when you receive new cookies, or how to disable cookies completely. Since cookies enable you to utilize some basic services on the website, we recommend keeping them enabled. For example, if you block or refuse our cookies, you will be unable to add items to your shopping cart or proceed to checkout, or use any services that require you to log in.
If you wish to browse our website without linking browsing history to your account, you can log out here and block cookies on your browser.
For exit settings that cannot be changed independently on the platform, you can contact our customer service for further assistance. Additionally, you can request Milanoo to delete your account and related information. You can also request your personal information.
10. How long do we retain your personal information?
We will retain your personal information for as long as it is necessary for you to continue using our services, as required to fulfill the relevant purposes described in this privacy policy, or as required by law (such as for tax and accounting purposes), or as per other requests communicated with you. For example, we will retain your transaction history so that you can view past purchase records (if needed, to repeat orders) and to protect your privacy by knowing to which addresses orders have been sent.
